SPARK - Students Present Astronomy through Research, Reflection, and Knowledge
🚀 SPARK Sessions with Jayanthy Ma’am
... are online astronomy presentation sessions created for our teenage Astro Club community. They offer students a supportive space to learn how to prepare and deliver engaging presentations for a peer audience, receive thoughtful feedback, and gradually grow in confidence as young astronomy speakers. Check out list of SPARK topics 👉🏼
🌼 About Jayanthy Ma’am
SPARK Sessions are guided by Jayanthy Ma’am, a senior teacher from Amrita Vidyalayam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala who has inspired generations of students through her dedication to education. Over the years, she has mentored countless young learners — among them Dr. Avin Vijay, now an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan, who once gave a memorable talk to our community, encouraging everyone to dream big.
Jayanthy Ma’am is a constant presence in SPARK Sessions, offering gentle guidance, asking insightful questions, and providing encouragement that helps students grow with confidence and clarity.
Her experience, warmth, and commitment make every SPARK Session engaging and meaningful, ensuring that students not only learn but are also inspired to explore, question, and achieve.
🤝🛠 The SPARK Support Team
SPARK Sessions are a collective effort.
Radha, our expert from France, brings creativity and depth to the program. She curates challenges throughout the year via our WhatsApp group and continuously enriches SPARK by proposing new topics and ideas.
Divyatej supports the sessions technically and administratively, ensuring a smooth, welcoming space for students to present and learn.
Together, the team ensures that SPARK remains supportive, inspiring, and student-focused.
